With incredible design, diverse architecture with a blossoming foodie scene, Helsinki is, without doubt, one of the coolest cities on the block. The Finnish capital is compact enough to explore on foot and you can cover a lot of ground just in one day. In fact, every part of Helsinki is suitable for walking but one of our favourite routes takes you via the Helsinki coast and around Helsinki’s oldest park, Kaivopuisto. Follow this route, to see some of Helsinki’s islands, charming cafes and some of the most beautiful architecture throughout the city.

There’s no shortage of top-notch attractions to discover which includes a UNESCO-listed fortress, historical buildings, museums, food-centric marketplaces and of course then there’s Helsinki’s Design District where you will find 200 stores selling Finnish clothes, jewellery, and antiquities.

Considered one of the world’s most liveable cities, Helsinki boasts over 300 mesmerising islands amongst its archipelago as well as some fantastic green spaces.
